A Rhapsody of Rough and Luxe. Framed out in heavy, organically sculpted solder, an exquisite and eclectic display of chandelier crystals form an ornate, incredibly refractive and impressive cross. The contrasting yet complementing elements are stunning here -- The profusion of refined crystal explodes with a confetti of refractive colors from within the frame of rough, dark solder that forever binds each to the other and to the weighty, hand blown shipwreck bottle serving as a pedestal. Large and wavy, the glass is enshrouded in a masterpiece painting by time and the elements. Light brings it to life and colors flash and move in a mesmerizing and beautifully hypnotic way. Mirroring the bottle's patina is an opalescent rosary that bejewels the neck of the cross bottle bringing yet another sacred element.

Framed within heavy, weathered solder, a stunning and substantial cross of leaded Austrian crystal chandelier remnants provides a beautiful example of the juxtaposition of rough and refined. Supporting the large cross is a bottle that was excavated during shipwreck dive within the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a circa 1880 antique cork top bottle donned in a spectacular masterpiece of a crusty, iridescent and rusty patina. Naturally created below the sea for over a century, the patina is imbued with an absolute riot of amazing colors that change as the light dances across the surface of the weighty, antique glass. I have matched and aged the patina on the sculpted solder so it looks like the cross and bottle were always a single piece.

An antique rosary of diminutive amethyst beads bejewels with a cross bearing a patina painted by time wraps the neck of the bottle, adding an element of grace. An extremely special cross bottle for the discerning collector. A piece that can stand alone or bejewel your existing collection.

Reminiscent of the design in the center of an ancient Mariner's compass, an ornate cross of meticulously cut Austrian chandelier crystals crowns a mid-1800's amber bottle of beautifully patinated, antique glass. For well over a century this weighty, hand blown bottle has be hidden under the ocean while a natural and mesmerizing patina was painted by time, the elements, and the salty sea. Forever held within the confines of heavy solder, imbued in the weathered hues of rusted and salt eaten iron, the refined crystals throw light in all directions with their meticulously cut surfaces. A halo of diminutive amber hued crystal runs a beautiful ring around the center of the cross and also bejewel the points of the cross. Calcification adds texture and an element of shipwreck relics while striations lend testimony to the decades of tumbling with the tides and storms Changing and uncommon riots of color flash out of nowhere within the unique patina when the light happens open it. Perfection.

This entire piece is a beautiful study in contradiction: old and new, rough and luxe, rustic and refined while enshrouded in the mystery and beauty found beneath the sea. Where to even start with explaining how special this piece is... The incredibly detailed and beautiful memorial cross is donned in a time worn hue of brass. The detail is exquisite and the beauty is indescribable. It is engraved on the back with initial and a date, and etched by hand is a note of love left for by one who cared deeply for the intended. Serving as a pedestal for this crucifix is one of our shipwreck dive bottles -- it is gorgeous and full of complementing and contrasting elements within the bottle itself and between it and the crucifix. The glass is so old and the patina has an opaque metallic quality to it - as if the light is coming from within. Pale calcification, rust enshroud the century old glass while stunning jewel tone hues are brought to life by any light that happens upon its surface.

Sitting high on the long neck of the medicinal bottle of antique glass, a medieval style cross of aged pewter looks to be weathered by time and the elements and stands in silent vigil atop its unearthed pedestal. Inside the bottle a veil of earth that hid the bottle away for decades clings to the interior and the exterior boasts a slight patina. Rusty, crusty and beautiful.
